I would be fine with a $0.5 per hour per year increase for the next five years. The economy could absorb that and businesses could absorb that. To jack up labor by $7 per hour is going to be incredibly disruptive and is an attempt to make everyone equal. It doesn’t matter if someone went to college and got a degree at the end of the day with all of the governmental benefits, all our equal. What’s the incentive to work harder, smarter, and more creatively?
