More Fed Talk… No One In The World Knows What The Fed Will Do, Including Policy Makers
Stanley Fischer, Vice Chairman of The Federal Reserve, said last night that no one in the world, including policy makers, know what the Fed will do at it’s next meeting in March. Fischer said it is too early to assess the impact of market volatility. Fischer also hinted that the Fed has looked at negative rates but still does not intend to use them. Of course, this echoes the Fed’s “data dependent” stance and only adds more uncertainty to both Main Street and Wall Street.
