Gary, see the chart at the link above. US real GDP per capita less gov’t spending is back to the levels of the late 1960s when US crude oil production peaked, the US$ was removed from gold, and deindustrialization, militarization, and financialization of the US economy and society commenced.
We have been in in a slow-motion depression since ’00 and in a 30-year decline that has taken the US economy in real GDP per capita terms back more than 40 years.
How many economists, politicians, CEOs, financial advisers, mutual and hedge fund managers, and financial media pundits would dare state the truth about the US economy and society?
