Occupy Oakland Protesters Deposit Funds At Wells Fargo After Bank Attacks
A group of Oakland anti-Wall Street protesters who blame large banks for the economic downturn have decided that one of those institutions is the best place to stash their money for now.
Protesters at an Occupy Oakland meeting Monday voted to deposit a $20,000 donation into a Wells Fargo account. The move comes just days after one of Wells Fargo’s branches was vandalized during a massive downtown demonstration.

I think the OWS has been smeared the way the Tea Party was misrepresented in the early going. I follow Karl Denninger over on market ticker and he posted images and commentary from OWS members that don’t seam to be on the political left. As with all movements, you can take still life images of fringe individuals in order misrepresent the majority as a bunch of kooks.
There are legitimate grievances against the financial establishment you know ….
I have been there…saw with my own eyes…a good number of them are over-the -top and I am being diplomatic in my words.
I’m sure many are over the top, it is NYC after all. A place were if you use a weapon in self defense and found innocent in a court of law like in self defense you can go to jail for 5 years if you use a weapon that is not registered in your name!
