Gary I have some bad news for you. In the 1960’s there were still Jim Crow Laws and a Vietnam draft that killed 55 thousand Americans and wounded 250 thousand more. Being a liberal progressive in that time period made sense. Sadly the ideas of Socialism, open borders, hatred for the Government and many big companies took root among many educated people which over time led to open borders and over population of the lowest class of immigrants (MS-13 etc) regardless of need for the USA economy and a University Professor class of Left wing ideologues who willingly ignore the USA constitution. Add to that the end of the “melting pot” and balkanization of cities and groups into cultural islands and you have the current situation. The final straw was Barack Obama who instructed his African American followers to fight the police hate White Americans and then he roamed around the world apologizing for the military that saved our country from the Nazis and Japanese and has prevented domination by a rising China and Russia and nuclear Armed terrorists. As the demographic trends show this will continue and get worse as large numbers of students and immigrants from this onslaught become the majority just as the Democratic Socialists planned. Many areas of the country are no longer “America” Cinco de Mayo is far more popular than Thanksgiving in California and elsewhere. English has been overtaken in many areas like Miami. Freedom of speech is now at your own risk of losing a job friends etc. The elites will retreat behind gated communities and secret racism will flourish and the “American Dream Middle Class America with shared values” will be harder and harder to find. As we were warned to do in the 1950’s “Duck and Cover” and enjoy whats left before it totally disappears as it is rapidly also sweeping through Europe.
