PRE MARKET

TOLD YA! This just came out:

WSJ: Tariff delay to take place as US, China “continue to haggle over how to get Beijing to commit to massive purchases of U.S. farm products President Trump is insisting on for a near-term deal.”

In case you did not know, we have watched for the past 12-whatever months all kinds of threats to raise and raise and raise tariffs…but they never happen. Just a lot of noise. EU auto tariffs were supposed to go on a few months ago but were canned just days before. More and bigger China tariffs were supposed to be put on but every time and just days before, never happened. This was expected.

Futures were down over 100 but are now up.  Mr. Bluster strikes again. We guess tariffs are not so marvelous.

  1. You’re right, Gary, tariffs are not so marvelous, but a President with the backbone to stand up to unfair trade agreements is really marvelous! (And long overdue!)
